Each week, students from across Chicago travel to Urban Autism Solutions’ Growing Solutions Farm (UAS), a 1.2-acre produce farm located in Chicago’s west side where Chicago public high school transition students with autism and related disabilities gain valuable vocational skills to help prepare for future competitive employment.

IL ABLE Brochure Now Available in Spanish

The IL ABLE “Students with IEPs” brochure is now available in Spanish! Now special education staff can meet the needs of their Spanish-speaking students, parents, and guardians by sharing this version of the brochure at the student’s annual Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting.

Students with IEPs to receive IL ABLE information at their annual meeting.

Parents, guardians, and others who support students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) should be provided with the IL ABLE brochure in their student’s annual IEP meeting. Starting with this school year, schools are now required to provide IL ABLE information to students and their supporters at their annual IEP meeting.
