Go online with IL ABLE – it’s easy!
Many of us are doing our banking and bill-paying from the comfort of home these days. Now is a good time for IL ABLE account owners to make sure that you are taking full advantage of the online options offered to you by IL ABLE.
If you are about to enroll in IL ABLE, take a look at the online tools available to you. Here are some easy tips to streamline your IL ABLE experience:
- Go electronic with your IL ABLE account statements– Are you still receiving your quarterly IL ABLE account statement by mail? Are you still receiving your Fifth Third checking account monthly statements by mail? Electronic statements, or e-statements will arrive faster in your inbox than paper statements will arrive in your mailbox. AND, Account Owners who receive electronic statements benefit from lower account fees. To change statement delivery of your quarterly IL ABLE statement from paper to electronic delivery, log into your account at IL ABLE and follow the steps to make the change. To change delivery of your Fifth Third checking account statement, log into your account at Fifth Third.
- Go online with contributions – Mailing contributions by paper check to your IL ABLE account can slow down the timing of when your money will be available in your account for you to use. How secure is the process? The IL ABLE website is fully secure for all transactions. Go to the Forms section at IL ABLE to click “online’ to make your contributions on line.
- Go online with withdrawals – If you withdraw funds by downloading, completing, and then mailing in a Withdrawal Request Form, you must then wait for a check to be mailed to you. Doing things this way, can take longer than if you use the online tools. Visit the Forms section of IL ABLE to use the online service to request withdrawals.
